Fox Promotes Assistant News Director at Minneapolis Station

Kelly Huffman has been promoted to vice president and news director of Minneapolis Fox-owned duopoly KMSP and WFTC.

Svp and general manager Marian Davey said Huffman has been a newsroom leader at the station for nearly 20 years.

“His passion for multi-platform journalism and dedication to creating news and programming makes him the natural choice for this role,” said Davey.

Huffman started working at KMSP in 2002 and has been the assistant news director since 2013. He’s also worked as managing editor and senior assignment editor for the duopoly. He started his career at WCCO in Minneapolis.

“I’m honored to lead this talented and dedicated team at a time where quality local journalism has perhaps never mattered more,” said Huffman.
