Fox Names Brian Hannan Regional VP of Finance and Administration for WFLD, WJBK

Brian Hannan has been named regional vice president of finance and administration for the Fox owned stations in Chicago and Detroit.

It is a move within Fox for Hannan, who was most recently vice president of finance for WOFL-WRBW and WOGX, the company’s owned and operated stations in Orlando and Gainsville. In his new role, which is effective August 12, Hannan will oversee finance, strategic planning and business functions for WFLD-WPWR in Chicago and WJBK in Detroit.

“Brian has worked for FOX at a number of our television stations and our corporate division. His breadth of experience, hard work and drive to win make him the perfect candidate for this new position,” Betsy Swanson, executive vice president, chief financial officer and technical operations for Fox Television Stations, said in a statement.

NEW YORK – Brian Hannan has been promoted to Regional Vice President of Finance and Administration for three FOX-owned stations – WFLD FOX 32 / WPWR My50, the FOX O&O duopoly in Chicago, and WJBK FOX 2 in Detroit, announced Betsy Swanson, Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer and Technical Operations for FOX Television Stations.  Hannan will be responsible for overseeing all finance, strategic planning and business functions of the stations. His first day in this new role is August 12th.

In making the announcement, Swanson stated, “Brian has worked for FOX at a number of our television stations and our corporate division.  His breadth of experience, hard work and drive to win make him the perfect candidate for this new position.”

Most recently, Hannan served as Vice President of Finance for WOFL FOX 35 / WRBW My65, the FOX-owned and operated duopoly in Orlando and WOGX FOX 51 in Gainesville, FL.  Prior to that, he was Vice President, Finance at FOX Television Stations, a position he held for two years. Before that, he was Vice President, Finance at KDVR FOX 31, the former FOX-owned station in Denver. Hannan’s earlier positions at FOX Television Stations include Director of Finance for WNYW/WWOR-TV (New York/New Jersey) and Director of Finance at WAGA-TV (Atlanta).  Earlier in his career, Hannan worked as Vice President of Finance for WNAB-TV Nashville and as Business Manager for WFLI-TV Chattanooga, TN.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Hannan holds a B.B.A. in Finance.
