Fox D.C. Station Goes Nearly NSFW for Weather Promos

By Kevin Eck

Fox-owned stations aren’t known for being shy about pushing the envelope and the Washington, D.C. Fox-owned station WTTG is no different.

The station recently aired two weather promos courtesy of Scott Perkins who heads up the station’s Creative Services department.

One plays to the possible potty mouth reaction viewers may have when it rains, snows or is windy with the expletives represented by dashes.

While a second stars meteorologist Tucker Barnes, who starts taking his clothes off as he walks to the set, only to be told the station is promoting a weather app and not the weather abs. TVSpy’s guess is the spot was inspired by Fox 5 New York meteorologist Mike Woods who 1) was named Hottest Anchor in the World and 2) has showed his abs on-air more than once.

The two are memorable and worth a look.
