WJZY-WMYT gm Karen Adams is moving upstairs for Fox Television Stations.

A Fox spokesperson confirmed with TVSpy, Adams has been named vp of corporate initiatives for the group. An extensive search is underway for her replacement.

As part of her new job, Adams will concentrate on strategy and philanthropy for the group and social media for the stations.

Adams was named gm by Fox after it bought the stations in 2013. She came from WGHP in Greensboro, N.C. where she had been gm for 16 years. WGHP had been a Fox-owned station from 1996 until 2008.
