WTTG, the Fox station in Washington, D.C., is adding another hour of news.

The station announced it will debut an hour-long 4 p.m. show this spring. It’s unclear who will anchor the show.

“Every time we have expanded, we have been rewarded with new viewers. In this all-encompassing news environment, people have the luxury of being selective of how, where and when they consume their news. In order to remain competitive, our skilled newsroom has proven its ability to adapt and provide original, creative and authentic products that meet the needs of our audience,” said vice president and general manager Patrick Paolini.

The station will broadcast 13.5 hours of locally produced news and entertainment programming every day and 78.5 hours each week, which is more than any other station in the market.
