WAGA is launching a new 4:30 p.m. show during the week. Adding the new show will bring the number of hours of local content produced to 12 a day.

The new 4:30 show will debut on March 30 and will be anchored by Christine Sperow, who will also co-anchor Fox 5 News Edge at 11 p.m. weekdays.

“We are excited about this opportunity to expand our commitment to providing news and information to viewers throughout north Georgia. We are also thrilled to welcome Christine back to Georgia and trust she will be the perfect fit for our team and this newscast’s format,” said vice president and news director Scott Stucky.

She’s a graduate of The University of Georgia and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications.
