Anchor Mark Wilson, who is the son of legendary Tampa news anchor John Wilson, says he’s humbled to be named best TV anchor.
The WTVT anchor received the honor from Tampa Bay Magazine in the Best of 2018 issue.
“Thank you all. I have a great team I get to work with everyday #takesavillage and I had a decent mentor,” he said in a Facebook post after receiving the news.

Wilson anchors the Fox station’s 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. He replaced his father who retired from the station in 2014 after 50 years.
