Fort Myers Reporter Alludes to ‘Retirement’

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Update: TVSpy spoke Trierweiler and he says his contract expired at WINK. He is currently looking to bring his reporting to another television market. Until then, he will stay in Florida.

WINK news reporter, John Trierweiler, has been missing from the CBS affiliate’s airwaves for weeks now.

And while there is no confirmation from the station, Trierweiler’s social media tells a story that he’s officially finished reporting in Fort Myers for now.

“Retirement is everything I expected,” he wrote on Twitter.

Treierweiler’s official WINK Facebook page has been removed and his Twitter page does not mention his role as a TV reporter.

As TVSpy has reported, the Fort Myers station has had a ton of turnover in the past six months and very few announcements have been made.
