A Fort Myers, Fla., anchor says he tested positive for Covid-19, and is recuperating at home with mild symptoms.
NBC 2‘s Peter Busch wrote a letter to viewers in his market describing what happened to him.
He explained how the symptoms set in and even though they were mild, he got tested anyway.
Last Friday, I started to feel a dull headache. I took my temperature but I did not have a fever. In fact, I did not have any of the classic symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as loss of sense of smell or taste, or respiratory issues. Therefore, I didn’t think too much of the headache. I kept taking my temperature over the weekend and never once did it show a fever. The headache was still there and I was fatigued but overall I felt fine, until last night. I woke up in the middle of the night with sweats and chills. I still was not showing a fever, but I knew at this point I could have a virus and I should get tested.
Busch says after taking a rapid test, he found out he was positive for the virus.
The father of two is now quarantining for two weeks at home, in his office. His wife and two girls have not shown any Covid-19 symptoms.
