Former WXYZ Reporter Jim Herrington Dies

Jim Herrington, a former reporter at WXYZ in Detroit, died last week from complications of arthritis. He was 84.

Herrington worked at WXYZ for more than 30 years as a reporter and host of “Spotlight on the News,” a public affairs program. In a tribute segment (video above), WXYZ editorial director Chuck Stokes remembers Herrington as “a darn good journalist,” calling him “a pillar of Action News.”
