Former WTSP Sports Anchor Dies

Jerry Johnson, former sports anchor at Tampa – St. Petersburg, Fla. CBS affiliate WTSP, has died.

The station reports Johnson died after a battle with severe kidney and liver problems. He was 62.

On his facebook page, WTSP reporter Beau Zimmer wrote, “So long Jerry. You will be missed.”

Johnson worked at the station from 1982 until 2001.
