When reporter Amy Buckman left Philadelphia’s ABC-owned WPVI after 25 years, she said she needed some time with her family and maybe even enjoying a snowstorm without having to work. Buckman said then she’d return to work “if the right opportunity presents itself.” It did.

Buckman’s been hired as manager of public relations and special events by Interstate General Media, publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News, and the website Philly.com. She starts next month.

IGM publisher H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest said “Amy is obviously a magnificent communicator with a proven track record as a television reporter and producer at WPVI. Her versatility as a journalist, a public speaker and strategic thinker make her a perfect fit for this important position at IGM.”
