Peter Robinson, a former director at WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla., has died after being found naked in a state park.

The Post says Robinson worked at the ABC affiliate from 1988 until 2011 and reports Robinson was described as a “happy go-lucky man ‘who was always smiling.'”

“Out of all the people I know, he would have been the last person to go out like this,” said Jim Sitton, a former colleague of Robinson who now works at WPTV.

From WPBF, which made no mention of Robinson as a former employee:

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said its officers responded to multiple calls about a man, later identified as Peter Robinson, 57, of West Palm Beach, floating in the inlet about around 7:15 a.m. Saturday.

When deputies arrived they found Robinson in the waterway. He was unclothed, incoherent, acting erratically and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance, police said.

Deputies took him to Holmes Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Robinson was pronounced dead.
