Former WLBT Assistant News Director Corrice Collins Dies

One of Jackson, Mississippi’s first African-American reporters and anchors Corrice Collins has died.

Collins died Saturday night after a long fight with cancer. He was 72.

WLBT reports Collins started at the Jackson NBC affiliate in the late 1960s and worked there until the 80s. He came back to WLBT to work as assignment editor and later as assistant news director.
