Former WFTS Anchor Shows Up on WFLA for Election

By Kevin Eck

Brendan McLaughlin, the anchor who left Tampa-St. Pete ABC affiliate WFTS last December, showed up on NBC affiliate WFLA as a political observer.

Florida News Center reports McLaughlin is only working at the Media General-owned station yesterday and today for the election.

Right now, it looks like the two days is about as far as it will go for McLaughlin. A WFLA spokesperson told TVSpy the station wanted him to add some insight to the election, but that’s about it.

McLaughlin told WFLA about a cross country trip he took in his 1994 Dodge Van.
