Gary LaPlante has been hired by Boston NBC affiliate WHDH as executive producer.
LaPlante last worked at WBZ as news director. He started working at the CBS-owned station in 2014 and left in March 2016.
Before working at WBZ, LaPlante was the assistant news director at WFXT. He’s also been news director at WXXA in Albany, N.Y., assistant news director at WTEN and ep at WFSB in Hartford, Conn.
