Nicole Darin, who left her weekend sports anchor position at Charlotte’s WBTV last week, announced yesterday on her Twitter feed that she’ll be moving to Florida.

Darin will be making the 9-market jump to sports anchor at WTSP, the CBS affiliate in Tampa/St. Pete. She has covered sports for several stations, including KRDO in Colorado Springs and CN2 News in Rock Hill, SC. Darin, who was born in the Bronx, is an avid Yankees fan.

Darin writes via Twitter that she leaves Charlotte with good memories. “There is a LOT of talent at WBTV,” she tweets. “They’re capable of moving on to bigger & better things. Wonderful people there, I’ll miss them!”
