Former WAVY Anchor Rhonda Glenn Has Died

Rhonda Glenn, a former news anchor at Virginia’s WAVY has died. Glenn anchored newscasts in the 1970s, and later became one of ESPN’s first female sportscasters. Glenn died Thursday night in Florida after a long illness. She was 68.

According to WAVY, Glenn was considered one “of the leading historians of women’s golf in America.” Glenn was an amateur golfer who played in two U.S. Women’s Opens tournaments.
