Former South Bend Anchor Joins Denver Station

By Kevin Eck

Joshua Short has joined Denver Fox affiliate KDVR and KWGN as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter.

Short comes from WNDU in South Bend, Ind., where he had worked since 2017.

In his goodbye to the South Bend station in September, Short told viewers it was his decision to leave.

“I want to clear the air right now…I made this decision on my own. No one else,” said Short. “I was not forced out, pushed out, I have no issues with anyone on our team, so we can stop the rumors before they start. But what is true, this is hard. But that’s the business sometimes.”

He also thanked viewers for listening, engaging with him and supporting him.

“You’ve embraced this south side kid from Chicago straight out of school,” said Short. “You’ve helped me grow and gave me thicker skin, and yes, I got the hate mail too. But without you, I can’t do this. We can’t do this. We get to do this because of you. I remind myself daily of this blessing. We’re truly lucky because of you.”
