Former Oklahoma Meteorologist Dies

A man who spent years forecasting weather in the Wichita Falls and Lawton area died Sunday.

Dave Wallace, 62, died while fishing at Tom Steed Lake in Kiowa County in southwestern Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Wallace’s death is being investigated as a drowning that occurred about 3:45 p.m.

KSWO television in Lawton reported Wallace died of medical complications. Wallace had previously been employed as a weekend TV meteorologist at the Lawton station and had once worked as a part-time on-air meteorologist at KAUZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Wichita Falls. More…
