Former KWQC news director Doug Retherford died unexpectedly at the age of 65 in November.
During his 15 years at the Davenport, Iowa NBC affiliate, he was known for bringing his famous lake salad to work. The station says he remembered the KWQC staff in his will and had his family deliver one last serving of the salad to the newsroom.
