Cara McCollum, Miss New Jersey 2013 and anchor for SNJ Today, was critically injured in a car accident.
McCollum is in critical condition. Police say she drove off Route 55 in Pittsgrove Township in New Jersey on Monday night, hit a tree, spun the car and hit two more before ending up on an embankment. Fox News reports New Jersey State Police say McCollum appeared to be driving too fast for the wet roads.
“Cara is a beloved member of our SNJ Today family,” the station said in a statement. “She and her family are in our thoughts and prayers.”

SNJ Today airs on Comcast Channel 22 in Cumberland County, N.J., and serves Southern part of the state.
