Former KXAS Sportscaster John Rhadigan Hired as Voice of Texas Rangers

By Andrew Gauthier

John Rhadigan, who spent a decade working as a sportscaster for KXAS in Dallas-Fort Worth, has been chosen to be the new play-by-play voice of the Texas Rangers.

Rhadigan will team with Tom Grieve to call Rangers games on Fox Sports Southwest and KTXA, a CBS-owned independent station that is the over-the-broadcast outlet for the Rangers.

Rhadigan was a fixture on NBC-affiliate KXAS throughout the 90s before moving on to become an anchor for Fox Sports Net, where he’s covered Texas sports, including Rangers baseball.

“Rhadigan’s reputation as an accomplished broadcaster is well known in not only the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex but also in our entire television market,” said Chuck Greenberg, Rangers managing partner and CEO.
