Longtime KENS general manager Wayne Kearl, died days before his 99th birthday.
Kearl became the general manager for the Tegna-owned CBS affiliate in 1955 and eventually retired in 1981 when he was the Vice President for the then station owner, Harte Hanks Corporation, according to the Statesman.
He was born in Alberta and moved to the US to pursue journalism.
