Former Joplin Anchor Rich White Dies at 56

Screen Shot 2014-12-31 at 8.59.29 AMRich White, a former anchor at Joplin ABC affiliate KODE, has died. He was 56. The cause was complications from multiple sclerosis, reports KODE.

Many of White’s former colleagues shared their memories of White with Randy Turner, who writes The Turner Report. Former KODE sports reporter Bruce Vonder Haar told Turner:

During his time at KODE, Rich was fun to have around. You could talk to Rich about any number of topics. MS is obviously a terrible disease and I am glad that he doesn’t t have to live with that anymore. My thoughts are with his family and especially his son Alec.
