A former Cleveland reporter has died unexpectedly after a short illness.
Kathleen Cochrane DePiero worked for FOX 8, the Tribune owned station in Ohio, until 2005.
According to the station site, Cochrane left news to care for her two children. The 38 year old returned briefly to cover the Republic National Convention in 2016 to file reports for all the Tribune stations.
“Our hearts go out to Kathleen’s family and friends at this most difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers,” Fox 8 said in a statement online.
DePiero leaves behind a five and seven year old and her husband, Dean.
