Houston ABC owned station KTRK has added two assistant news directors. One will work on the digital side, while the other will concentrate on traditional broadcast.
KTRK news director Wendy Granato confirmed with TVSpy what Houston media blogger Mike McGuff first reported: Rehan Aslam, formerly executive producer of FOX owned WFLD in Chicago, is the new broadcast Assistant ND while managing editor Chris Hanson will work the digital side.
Granato also confirmed Rick Bagley is the new nightside executive producer. Bagley was news director at KFSM in Fort Smith-Faytteville, Ark.
