Former Arkansas Anchor Tricks Viewers He Is Looking For Love on TV

Former KFSM morning anchor, Jay Plyburn, made the fake announcement on Twitter.

“It’s official! I’m going to be a contestant on the next season of ABC’s The Bachelorette! Filming starts this fall. Standby for more details!,” he said in April 1 Instagram post.  In the comment section he admitted it was all a joke.

Plyburn announced his departure from the 5News the Tribune-owned this summer on his YouTube page.  The former morning anchor has yet to announce where he is going next.

He told viewers he had no immediate plans to leave the Fort Smith-Fayetteville area.
