Former Anchor Applies for West Virginia Judicial Position

Kathy Brown, the former TV anchor and investigative reporter who specializes in civil cases and once worked as a law clerk for current West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Margaret Workman (when she was in private practice), has, according to a Friday, September 25, news release, “applied for the position of Judge expected to open soon in Kanawha County.”

She moved to Kanawha County in 1995 to manage WSAZ-TV‘s Charleston news bureau, then, was accepted to West Virginia Universitys College of Law in 1998.

Continuing to work part-time at WSAZ during law school, she excelled in writing and editing for the Law Review and graduated as Order of the Barristers, an honor for outstanding performance at oral argument. More…
