John Patrick, chief meteorologist for Fort Myers, Fla. ABC affiliate WZVN, had some shade to throw at his competitors in a facebook video.
Apparently CBS affiliate WINK is saying it has the most accurate forecast and Patrick is not happy about it.
“You hear us at the beginning of each weathercast say that we have southwest Florida’s most accurate forecast,” said Patrick, laying out the argument why his forecast is the market’s most accurate forecast. “Lately there’s another TV station in town trying to make that same claim. But, it’s not true. Only ABC7 has the scientific proof to back up our claim that we’re southwest Florida’s most accurate forecast.”
Patrick then pointed out stats from a research company that prove his forecast is the most accurate. Click here to watch the video.
“You will not hear WINK use words like ‘verified,’ ‘certified,’ or ‘proven’ because they can’t back up their made up claim,” He added on his facebook page. “I can. I even share this proof with you in the video.”
