Finals Are Second Most-Viewed NBA Game Ever in SF and Cleveland

Last night’s Game 7 of the NBA Finals, which saw the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors for the NBA title, was the most watched NBA game nationally since game six of the 1998 NBA Finals. The game drew an average of 30,799,000 viewers nationally.

Game 7 delivered a 46.3 for Cleveland’s WEWS, making it the second-highest rated NBA game ever in that market. The game got a 39.4 rating for ABC-owned KGO in the San Francisco market, also second all-time for an NBA Game.

Here are the rest of the top 10 markets: WSYX in Columbus (30.1), WPLG in Miami (24.3), KSAT in San Antonio (23.6), KXTV in Sacramento (23.3), WPTY in Memphis (21.7), WSB in Atlanta (21.3), WKEF in Dayton (21.0) and WVEC in Norfolk (20.7).
