Veteran Anchorman Says Goodbye to Viewers

Another local news veteran is stepping down this week after more than three decades at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana.

David Barras is saying goodbye to viewers after 37 years at the station.

“At last, there really are no words that can capture what I feel in my heart. I will miss you. I will miss our time together each day. But I won’t say goodbye. Because when you’re family, you may not see each other often, but when you do, it’s like you never left,” Barras said in his goodbye.

Barras announced his retirement from the Nexstar owned station over the Summer. He started at WISH as a weekend reporter and assignment editor and currently anchors the station’s 6, 10 and 11pm newscasts.
