Evansville Reporter Pleads Guilty to DUI Charge

The WEVV Evansville, Ind. reporter who was caught driving drunk back in November has pled guilty.

Veronica Dekett was sentenced to a year of alcohol probation and had her license suspended for 90 days.

TVSpy originally reported when she was charged with a felony because she had been pulled over in New Jersey earlier in the year for drinking and driving. The judge reduced it to an A Class Misdemeanor charge, though. She avoided jail time and a hefty fee.

Dekett, who was the noon anchor and a senior reporter, was let go from her station following the arrest.
