Evansville Anchor Says She Drank Three Vodka Drinks Before Driving Home

In Evansville, Ind., WEVV anchor-reporter Veronica DeKett has been arrested for driving drunk after a night of going out.

According to the Courier and Press, DeKett has been charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after she was pulled over.

The police report states DeKett was stopped at a traffic light when it turned green and she sped off. Police observed her driving 50 mph and swerving before she was pulled over.

She was administered a breath test and registered a 0.19. DeKett told police she had three vodka sodas.

She was booked in jail and later released. The station’s general manager didn’t have a comment when the paper asked about DeKett’s arrest.
