Eric Valadez Named KUSA’s New Director of Content

KUSA, the Tegna station in Denver, Colorado, has appointed Eric Valadez as the station’s director of content.

In this newly created role, Valadez will oversee the vision, hiring and strategy for all 9News coverage and distribution of news across all content platforms.

The station has also promoted executive producer Linda Kotsaftis to news content director. Together Valadez and Kotsaftis will bring over 40 years of experience to the newsroom.

Valadez joins KUSA after serving as executive news director leading content strategy for 22 Tegna stations in medium and small markets. In this role, he also managed coverage of breaking news and special events. Previously, Valadez was assistant news director at WFAA in Dallas.
