Eric Fuller Apologizes for Outburst at ABC Town Hall Meeting as Tea Party Leader Reacts

By Andrew Gauthier

Eric Fuller, the man who was shot in the leg during Jared Loughner’s shooting spree and who has subsequently made the media rounds, was arrested over the weekend after he made threats to audience members of a town hall meeting assembled by ABC’s “This Week.”

KGUN spoke with the main target of Eric Fuller’s threats, Trent Humphries (video below).  Humphries, the founder of the Tucson Tea Party, told the Tucson ABC-affiliate, “There’s a disconnect somewhere because people just don’t do that.”

Fuller has released a statement, apologizing for his actions:

“I would like to tender my sincerest apologies for my misplaced outrage on Saturday at the St. Odelia’s town meeting. It was not in the spirit of our allegiance and warm feelings to each other as citizens of our great country.”

He was arrested for disorderly conduct following his outburst and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
