Entertainment Reporter Returns to Chicago’s WFLD

Veteran Sun-Times entertainment columnist Bill Zwecker has been named an entertainment contributor at Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32, where he previously worked as an entertainment reporter and movie critic from 2000 to 2003.

“I am happy to be back at a place where I feel very comfortable,” said Zwecker of his new role with the station.

Zwecker expects to appear on the station’s ratings-challenged flagship “Fox Chicago News at 9 p.m.” three or four nights a week, where he will talk about what’s making headlines in the entertainment world locally, in Hollywood and New York and beyond. He also will appear occasionally on WFLD’s morning show “Good Day Chicago.” “I’ll be doing a lot of the same kinds of stuff I’ve always done as an entertainment reporter,” said Zwecker.

During his first appearance on WFLD Wednesday night, Zwecker featured a piece about Elvis Presley’s 75th birthday. More…
