Emily Sutton Joins KFOR Morning News

KFOR meteorologist Emily Sutton will be moving to mornings for the Oklahoma City NBC affiliate.

“This will be a lifestyle change because I will be getting up a lot earlier, but I can do this,” Sutton said in a statement. “Being a marathon runner will no doubt help.”

Sutton, who joined KFOR three years ago, will join Ali Meyer, Kent Ogle and Britnee Bryles on KFOR from 4:00 to 7:00 a.m. and Lance West and Britnee Bryles from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on KFOR’s independent sister station KAUT.

She replaces David Payne who left for rival station KWTV, Oklahoma City’s CBS affiliate, in December.

“Blizzards, tornadoes, floods, lightning storms or drought, Emily Sutton knows how quickly our weather can change in Oklahoma,” said KFOR-KAUT president and general manager, Wes Milbourn.

Sutton has previously worked for WCYB in Bristol, VA and KMIZ in Columbia, MO.
