El Paso’s KFOX Bans Political Ads During Some Newscasts

Local businesses that rely on TV commercials to draw customers into their showrooms and stores are begrudgingly cutting back on advertising as political spots clutter the airwaves.

Every election cycle, they say, the onslaught of campaign ads displace their commercials on local TV stations. And that can make TV advertising prohibitively expensive from late September until the November elections.
