Meteorologist Eboni Deon has joined Indianapolis CBS affiliate (for now, the station will become an independent in January) WISH as weekend weather anchor. “I’m thrilled to be moving back to my home state and going to work for the station I grew up watching,” said Deon.
Full disclosure: Eboni and I co-anchored weekend mornings at Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV, and she is one of the nicest and most talented people in local television. One morning, she was forced to anchor the newscast and do weather when, let’s just say, my arrival at the station was somewhat unfortunately delayed. She’s good people and a great hire for WISH.
Deon, who anchored at CNN and The Weather Channel before moving to Central Florida, makes her debut this weekend. Congrats, Eboni!
