WEAU-TV has hired a news director who has worked at television stations in half a dozen states, most recently in Texas.
John LaPorte began last week as news director at WEAU (Channel 13), Eau Claire’s NBC affiliate. His most recent position was as managing editor at KPRC-TV, an NBC affiliate in Houston. His 4 1/2 years at KPRC also included a stint as senior executive producer.
LaPorte previously was news director at stations in Milwaukee and Palm Springs, California. More…
