
E.W. Scripps has created a COVID-19 employee fund by way of the Scripps Howard Foundation.
The fund will help workers adversely affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
Full and part-time employees who qualify could receive up to $1,000.

Hardships could be loss of family income or increased personal expenses, including:
– Food and basic household supplies
– Housing-related assistance, including but not limited to, mortgage, rent and utility payments
– Childcare or eldercare costs
– Other needs, excluding medical, to be considered on a case-by-case basis
The COVID-19 outbreak was declared a national emergency on March 17.
