DirecTV May Pull Quad Cities’ CBS Station This Week

March Madness could end up having a different meaning than NCAA basketball in this area. DirecTV subscribers could lose access to WHBF-TV 4, the CBS affiliate in the Quad Cities, by the end of the day Wednesday.

According to a news release from the Rock Island TV station, “Our existing carriage agreement with DirecTV expires at 12 midnight, (Wednesday), and in the absence of renewal of that agreement, DirecTV will terminate carriage of CBS4. Should that occur, DirecTV subscribers will wish to pursue other alternatives to receive the station.”
