A DFW anchor is stepping down from her weeknight anchoring duties to focus on her family and life outside of the newsroom.
Kaley O’Kelley has been the evening anchor at KTVT, the CBS affiliate in Dallas since 2015.
She announced her decision to leave on Facebook.

“I write this with a heavy heart and a huge sense of gratitude for my experience with CBS DFW,” O’Kelley wrote. “Turning down an amazing opportunity to continue on as main anchor in a city we love is no easy choice.”
O’Kelley came from KTVK in Phoenix. Earlier this year she took a leave of absence to recover from a medical procedure. She returned to air in March.
According to Uncle Barky’s media blog, the station is not yet making an official announcement about her departure yet.
