Gregg Moss is leaving Denver NBC affiliate KUSA.

The Denver Post TV critic Joanne Ostrow reports Moss is following doctor’s orders to slow down.

“While he’s left 9NEWS before, this time he feels it’s for good,” says the station. “He won’t have to wake up at 1:30 a.m and can now focus on his family and just one job.”

The station also says Moss runs a large non-profit in addition to working at KUSA.

From The Post:

He has talked publicly about his struggle with two kinds of arthritis, which also caused him to cut back on work hours in 2003 and again in 2006.

Moss left broadcasting and went to work for an unrelated business but returned in 2010 under an arrangement with KUSA that allowed him to pursue his outside business interests and continue to work in TV.

Moss started at KUSA in 1993 as a business reporter.
