Loni Blandford has been named news director at WDTN-TV, the NBC affiliate in Dayton, Ohio.
“We’re excited to have Loni join the WDTN-TV and Dayton’s CW family,” said Joe Abouzeid, WDTN-TV and WBDT-TV president and general Manager. “Her years of experience as well as her ability to lead a multiplatform newsroom have us excited for what’s ahead for the 2 NEWS team.”
Blandford is the former managing editor for WISH-TV in Indianapolis. There Blandford led the news operation in planning numerous projects including the 2016 November Election and Presidential Inauguration coverage. Prior to her stint with WISH-TV, Blandford managed the special projects unit for KTNV-TV in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She will begin her duties as News Director for 2 NEWS on June 5th.
