David Ciliberti is joining Columbus NBC affiliate WCMH as news director. Ciliberti previously worked at Albany’s FOX affiliate WXXA and ABC affiliate WTEN.
In February 2013, Ciliberti was charged with DWI after he was pulled over for drifting out of his lane and running a red light. He was driving a station vehicle at the time and was not fired after his arrest.
“We are pleased to name a journalist as talented and experienced as David to be our news director,” said Kenneth Freedman, WCMH vice president and general manager. “He is a strong leader with a passion for news; that combined with his competitive spirit make him a great fit to lead our news team at this critical time.”

Ciliberti starts his new position on February 23.
