Dave Parker has been named news director for Little Rock CBS affiliate KTHV.
“I am thrilled to be joining the news team at THV 11,” said Parker. “I have always been committed to great story telling, responsible journalism and becoming a big part of the community. My family is equally excited about making the move to Arkansas.”
Parker comes to KTHV from WCAU, the Philadelphia NBC owned station, where he has been the assistant news director for the last ten years.
“Dave brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the news business,” said Michael Caplan, president and general manager of KTHV. “His background combined with his enthusiasm to provide news and information on all digital platforms is a great fit for us at THV 11. Dave is a news veteran with over 30 years in the business. He’s a family man, a people person and a wonderful addition to our THV 11 family.”
Before working at WCAU, Parker was assistant news director at WMAR in Baltimore, and news director for WDSI in Chattanooga, TN. He also worked as a reporter for WHBQ in Memphis.
