Dallas’s KDFW Offers Blitz of Pre-Super Bowl Coverage

By Andrew Gauthier

Dallas’s KDFW offered a full blitz of pre-Super Bowl coverage on Saturday and Sunday.  The Fox-affiliate ran a countdown clock during its news coverage over the weekend and the hours, minutes, and seconds ticked away as the news team reported live from outside Cowboy Stadium.

On Saturday evening, KDFW offered expanded news coverage, going until 12:30 a.m.  Anchors Heather Hays and Steve Eagar were stationed at a special set in front of the stadium.  The two again picked up on Sunday morning.

Adrian Arambulo and Krystle Gutierrez kicked off KDFW’s Sunday morning coverage at 6:00 a.m., reporting live from outside the stadium.  Lauren Przybyl and Tim Ryan, who anchor the station’s weekday morning newscast, were in the studio. They handed it to Hays and Eagar at 9:00 a.m. as the station continued local coverage until 11:00 a.m., when Fox took over with its network pregame programming.
