Katie Couric, Alec Baldwin, Brian Williams, Mark Feuerstein and Lorne Michaels roasted outgoing NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker at the Center for Communication’s annual luncheon here Monday, and they did so with jokes about failed NBC primetime programs, the Conan O’Brien-Jay Leno situation and even Charlie Sheen.
Zucker himself also spoke out, joking about his recent firing by Comcast COO Steve Burke who will take over the NBC Universal CEO post once cable giant Comcast closes its planned acquisition of the entertainment company.
“I haven’t felt so much love since I sat down with Steve Burke a few weeks ago,” Zucker told the crowd at the Center’s 30th annual award luncheon. More…
